Ellis Elementary School

In 2019, ReGeneration Now began working with Ellis Elementary on their community garden, located at the southern end of the school campus. Overgrown and largely ignored, this garden had little interest or involvement from the community. ReGeneration Now began building partnerships with other organizations, including the International Rescue Committee (IRC) – Denver, which resettles refugees from around the world. In addition to assisting refugees in starting their lives again, the IRC also runs supportive programming such as the New Roots program, which pairs psychosocial support with the therapeutic practice of gardening.
